Dear Chelas: 

All men and women are in various stages of growth according to their particular individual progress through the centuries. Until the seven bodies are equally developed, balanced, purified and under the control of the Christ Self the lifestream is not completely balanced nor expressing it’s Perfect Nature. 

The drawing of the Light from the "I AM" Presence into these bodies with the purpose of developing and unfolding them has been a more or less instinctive process of the soul permitted by the God-Influence, always active toward progress. 

Mankind has been prodded more or less into awakening the mental faculties, and the mental bodies of the masses, are now undergoing a tremendous expansion by the pressure of the Cosmic Law. People are being forced to think and in that they draw the substance of the Light and literally develop or push out the mental muscles to express mature vehicles. Through the ages of superstition, darkness and the credulity of the sluggish mind, the mental unfoldment of the race is far behind its natural mark. The caws of orthodoxy and selfish interest have retarded the mental growth of the people who have been willing to accept as their creed of Life a source of thought-forms already cut and dried, so to speak, by the minds of the free that thought of personal gain. 

The time has arrived when men must set into motion the substance of their own mental vehicles and make them exert the necessary effort to contact the Higher Consciousness, rather than accept the predigested thoughts previously presented to them. Many conflicting results may result in their early experiments and add to the general chaos of the way. 

This is a necessary transition period preceding the clear connection with the Divine Thought which must come through every man and into externalization.
