Beloved Chelas: 

With the beginning of the Lenten Season on February 11, I counsel you to avail yourself of the tremendous Activity of Purification which is taking place this year through the mighty activities of the Fourth and Seventh Rays in particular. The Thought Form for the Year presents this to you very graphically. 

You have all been diligently endeavoring to transmute the imperfection in your own four lower vehicles, and you have done well, but today I wish to specifically direct your attention to the mental vehicle. How do you individually think of this garment? Yes, it is wise to visualize it as a functioning vehicle of pure Light! That is what it should become and is...the Immaculate Concept. However, since we of the Spiritual Hierarchy can turn our attention to these vehicles and see the imperfection which is still contained within them and not have that negation register in our Consciousness, we can see there is much to be cleaned up.  

Oh, that precious mental garment… man loves it, for he has stored within it all the concepts which he has gathered through the centuries! Think what has come to him in this embodiment, and then multiply that thousands and thousands of times... the various avenues of religious teachings, concepts and opinions have left their imprint on the mental garment through your acceptance, and all these thoughts take form and add to the accretion. These are not stationary pictures but are a whirling series of patterns, superimposed upon each other. 

The chela is fortunate indeed for he has been presented with the ways and means of purifying his garments... yet there is much which must be transmuted. In the case of the average man who has not received the knowledge of the Sacred Fire of Transmutation, his mental body could certainly be likened to a trash basket and I make this reference only to show you how important it is to clean up ALL the four lower garments, not only of yourself but of all mankind. 

For added assistance in this purification, I would suggest that you turn your attention to the beloved Mother Mary and beloved Master Jesus and ask them to fill your beings with the Peace and Harmony which they knew during his ministry and feel that Flame of Peace penetrate your vehicles. It is necessary that the pulsating causes and cores of imperfection be transmuted but the Flame of Peace should be invoked so that further chaos does not try to ride in and set up pulsating centers of imperfection in the purified garment.
