Dear Chelas: 

Any lifestream, Ascended or unascended, may proceed anywhere in this Universe on the magic, mystic carpet of Thought and Attention. Such a one can enter into the consciousness and experience, the Light and Victory of any Being and make that consciousness, substance and intelligence his own, by the very easy process of dwelling therein and absorbing the Wisdom contained within it while he is there. As men cultivate other men and women of Wisdom, either through Universities or private tutorship in order to avail themselves of the consciousness of their teacher, (which consciousness becomes their own through the study and application of the Truth given) ...so can an unascended being choose an Ascended Master to be his teacher and the nature, radiation, consciousness and power of that Master can be transferred into and become part of the pupil, so long as the pupil holds the line of contact open through his aspiration and devotion which form the energy-wave through which the Master's Love can reach the pupil for his Illumination. 

To think upon an Ascended Being is to immediately send a Light Ray of your own mind and heart into the Realm of Activity where the Master dwells. The mental picture of the Master, the use of the Master's Name, the quiet contemplation of the Master's sphere of activity and service, or the assimilation of the Master's written word... all make the vibratory action which is sympathetic to or akin to the vibratory action of the Being upon whom the chela's attention rests. When the chela's vibratory action is set into motion upon a similar pattern to that of the Being to whom he has turned his attention, he forms through that pattern the channel over which the Master's Love and Light, Consciousness and Assistance flow. 

The chela has not realized the import of tuning his own vibration into the Master's by the simple expedient of using his name, picturizing his form, contemplating his picture and reciting the adorations, affirmations or a song prepared and dedicated to his honor, or absorbing his words as presented through The Bridge publications. 

The wise chela will be as thoughtful in tuning in his vibratory action to the Master as he would in tuning in the mechanical contrivance of the television or radio to a certain wave length in order to ensure the proper reception of a prepared program, because the wave length you choose in the mechanical contrivance connects your energy to a program of an uplifting or progressive nature, or otherwise, according to your individual or self-conscious choice. And so it is with the vibratory action you set up in your inner bodies by tuning into discord or the Ascended Master's Consciousness by voluntary and intelligent action.
