My Dear Ones: 

I, having traveled the pathway of Earth (as you are doing today) speak to you the Truth which will enable the discerning individual to express his inherent Godliness in the natural manner that Life intends. The mass of mankind have accepted themselves as the personality which they wear, and for them the weaknesses and habits of the personality are as much a part of the natural course of their life experience as the petals of the rose. When an individual is awakening to the consciousness that he must lay aside the qualities that are offensive to life and that he must consciously become a harmonious expression of God’s Energy there ensues a sense of self-abnegation and self-discipline which expresses as self-inflicted punishments that have been practiced in the churches and by the peoples of the East in the torture of their bodies and the denials of the flesh.. 

The aspirant must not dignify the form or personal self as an adversary to be overcome, for in so doing he gives the wrong recognition to a power which uses this shadow-self, and which then, by the very life of the aspirant released through this power, lives to torture him. The struggle to maintain a separate identity, rather than allowing the little self to flow gently into the One Universal Whole, causes stress and nervous tension. It is like unto one wave of the sea refusing to merge and become part of the tide. The uneven and unnatural struggle would soon exhaust the energy of the erring wave which would be drawn by the power of the ocean back into its natural oneness with the sea. 

The Ascended Host are part of the Universal Ocean of Light and from the bosom of the father pours their Light upon all, the expressions of themselves. Beloved Jesus gave an example of the unimportance of form when he was unconcerned with the efforts of the people to destroy his physical body. He knew that all Life was one and he realized that they who were responsible for his crucifixion but poured out their own blood and crucified by their own acts the atoms of their own bodies. 

Beloved, when you once realize the Oneness of all Life you will let go of the consciousness that there is any separation between you and the lowly beggar on the street or the Ascended Host of Heaven. The One Life singing through all is to be treated with the same unfailing courtesy. This feeling of Oneness, you will find, brings peace indescribable. The chela who attains the consciousness of the ONENESS with All Life has become one with the Ascended Consciousness while he yet wears the third dimensional garments of flesh..
