The Shamballa Letter

VOLUME 16, Number 42                                                                                             October 21, 1994

Beloved Friends, 

Please take a moment to join me and all of the World Teachers in expressing our love and gratitude to Beloved Serapis Bey, for his valuable assistance in broadening your understanding of the astral realms and the service so greatly needed in this area. These realms of the Earth have been greatly purified through your efforts of the past weeks, and I humbly bow before the increased light of your understanding. 

As you meet the challenges of the current cycle, you are finding that your understanding is expanding in direct proportion to your love for the Earth and all her evolutions. This feeling of love increases your desire to serve and is the cornerstone upon which all creative activity is built. 

Equally important as the desire to serve, is your willingness to completely relinquish your human will to that of the Divine! As you are aware, human will is often a very potent and subtle adversary! 

The First Ray embodies God's Will, which is perfection for all life. During this Second Ray year, your purpose is to gain some understanding of the current radiation, while bringing to fruition the gifts of the previous cycle. To fulfill the gifts of the First Ray, you must begin to bring God's Will into manifestation, while you yet walk the Earth. All of the enlightenment you have received at various levels during your life's journey, has prepared you to attain mastery over your allotment of life force through your four lower vehicles at some point in time. 

This mastery can only be achieved through the free will which was given to you in the beginning by our God Parents. At every step upon the path, your free will is the key that shall open the door to your individual mastery. Willingness to relinquish your human will is represented by the conscious decision to commit all of the creative power, indeed, all of the life energy, of your Self, to the service of God. The actual relinquishment of your human will is the action you take in support of that decision. 

I direct your attention to the steps to Illumined Obedience, which we discussed last year. They are: Ask, Wait, Discern, and Act. Once you have made the decision to relinquish your human will - in all its forms - these four steps become the map you must follow, every moment of every day. Vigilance is required. The activity of relinquishment can become the work of many lifetimes, if the decision is not followed by the rhythmic calling forth of Divine Will, combined with a period of silence during which God's Will may be made clear to you. 

I remind you of these facts, so that you may take heart and proceed further into the light. Know that you can overcome all shadows that human will may attempt to cast upon your life. Willingness, vigilance, and action are the tools you shall use, to manifest the Bridge across which all mankind shall one day return to the place of their birth.
