Beloved Chelas,

I bring you my gratitude for the work you have done this past week with your Heart Flames. Continue this practice as you desire, for not only does it expand the Flame, but it will bring about the fullness of your expression of the Christ more quickly. 

When beloved Master Jesus called his disciples, my brother James and I were asked to join him just after he called Simon Peter. I cannot express the gratitude that always fills my Being whenever I consider the opportunity that was offered to me to be counted among those privileged to study and work with this great and compassionate Being. 

I have said that we were common men, as was the Master, and that as we walked the Earth then in preparation for serving from the Realms of Light now, so is it true for you. The historic setting has changed, and it will change again and again for future generations, but the Opportunity which is offered from the Higher Realms will never change. It will always be offered to the ordinary men and women, for it is to the world of form that you come to accept Divinity, and claim it as your own. 

By working as a chela of the Ascended Masters, you signify that you have heard the call of the Christ now, even as we did then, while you yet walk the Earth, beloved, be grateful! 

James and I were called "Sons of Thunder", for we were not without strength, especially in the physical. We were prepared at inner levels to work with Jesus in that embodiment, but never think that we did not have a great deal to learn! Our four lower vehicles were taxed to the limit, and I had much to overcome! One time I saw a man who was casting demons out of people, and he was using Jesus' name. Because he was not with our group, I approached him and told him he must stop healing in my Master's name. Thinking I had done very well, I told Jesus about the incident, and he immediately told me that I must not forbid anyone from healing in his name. He explained to me that no man was likely to give healing - using his name - and then turn around and use it to do evil. This was but one example of my intolerance - which, unfortunately - was not my only flaw. I could give you others! The name "Son of Thunder" was aptly chosen, as you can see. 

The forces of darkness never slumber, and they are always alert to the weaknesses of human nature The most highly advanced among our chelas and students all have their "Achilles' heel", and it is through these weak spots in the etheric garment that you may be reached by such forces. They pretend to be Light - you know! As you develop in a balanced manner you will learn to recognize and correct your own weaknesses. 

As you discover what those weaknesses are, you must draw the Light of God Protection around yourselves, and then make some small effort each day to transmute them. If you make a small effort to overcome these flaws each day, the small efforts will add up to giant strides to Perfection! 

As you open your mind to discovering your weaknesses, without fear or self-recrimination, know that you are supported in your every effort to develop your spiritual potential by the love of every Being of Light in the Cosmos, for all who stand now in high places once had the courage to stand where you are now, and face their own weaknesses, failures, or errors in judgment. 

Also, it is especially important for you to keep in mind that those traits which may now be your weaknesses will ultimately be your strengths.
