Master  Saint Germain

Spring Conference

April 6, 1996

My beloved co-servers,

Once again you have chosen to come together here at Shamballa, within this blazing cathedral of living light to assist in furthering my cause of spiritual freedom around this blessed planet; and I bless you for your service! As I look around this sacred sanctuary, I see that most of you are directors for this activity of light, and work with group energies, either here at Shamballa or at various locations around the planet. My words this morning shall focus upon some of the practical aspects of this subject.

I will begin by asking this question: Have you ever thought much about the magnificent chalice of light that is created from the energy of the group at the beginning of each class? The importance of this thoughtform cannot be overstated, for it is the vessel in which both your energies and the energies of the ascended masters and other great beings of light come together, expand, and are then used to assist all life on this planet.

Those of you who find your way to Shamballa, quickly discover the work performed here is primarily done at the planetary level. For, even as you diligently work to purify, restore and manifest your own God Perfection; what you ask for yourselves, without exception, you always ask for others too. This point brings me back to the chalice and your responsibility as a director. You must focus and maintain the energy at the group level or above.

The minute your attention falls to the personal level, and you recognize the individual, the chalice you so lovingly created shatters, and all the energy that has been collected in this magnificent vessel dissipates. Then, no matter how hard you work to recreate this cup it may be very difficult to do, for so much of the energy allotted to your class has already been used.

In fact, as a director your work begins long before you officially draw forth the flames and give the invocation. Your responsibility begins the moment you are asked or choose to direct a class, and open your mind and heart to a particular master for inspiration. At that moment you are enfolded in the loving embrace of a great being of light, and he or she guides you every step of the way, until you have directed your class. Within their radiation, ideas concerning the perfect format of your class begin to enter your mind and feeling world creating the basic outline. You are also directed to each and every decree and reading that will be used during your work with the higher energies.

Putting together your class is very important, just as the actual ceremony itself is, but you must never consider it a performance. It is a service of love and light; one that creates the opportunity (the perfect combination of time and space) to work with the higher energies, not only those of your brothers and sisters in attendance but the many other great beings of light you called upon or perhaps even a few who have been drawn by the light of your group.

Most of you who direct classes find it helpful to write out your entire class prior to giving it. The reason for this is many fold. First you have your entire class before you, and the energy you would have used to create your class at that moment can be used to more perfectly direct the energy called forth. This is a very subtle principle in directing, and one that you shall quickly come to understand if you try it.

However, this does not mean that you have to give up your freedom of expression by adding to your class as you give it, for it is important to always remain open to that possibility. But best of all, you get to experience your entire class as you create it, and it allows you to include additional information that will assist in making your class even more perfect than it already is.

Your time of preparation immediately before your class is necessary to create the perfect atmosphere in which to work. If you choose to work with an acolyte, they can be very helpful as well. By its definition your acolyte is your assistant. They are there to help, and how they do this is up to you. You may ask them to check the altar to see that everything required for their service is available and working properly. Will the size of the candles allow them to stay lit during the class? Is there both a way to light and extinguish them? Unless they have memorized the candle lighting ceremony, is there a copy of it available for their use? If your acolyte does have a problem performing his or her job, have you discussed how best to handle each situation? All of these items are important, but sometimes can be overlooked. If for some reason you are delayed is your acolyte prepared to begin, and if necessary give a class in your place? Have you ever even considered this possibility?

How early you and your acolyte arrive to prepare the Sanctuary is your decision, but I strongly suggest that you arrive at least thirty minutes before the acolyte service to allow enough time to prepare yourselves and the sanctuary. It is important to purify the room, including the altar, and then create a ring-pass-not of protection around the perimeter, so that the energies which remain are of the highest level possible. The more members of your group who choose to assist in this preparation the better. Also, remember to purify and protect yourself as well.

After the chalice has been closed, the candles extinguished and your class has been completed, allow everyone in attendance, including yourself to remain in the sanctuary, to bask in the radiation and absorb the energies of the masters in silent communion. Be ever watchful of your conversation after the silence has been broken so that the higher energies you have called forth remain and continue to do their work, even after you leave. Please, do not lessen their effectiveness by negative thoughts, feelings, words or actions.

Your training as a director begins the minute you choose to direct a class, and beloved ones it never ends! If possible, often attend classes given by other directors. This will assist you not only in developing your own skills as a director, but also support your brothers and sisters who have chosen to follow this same path as you. Today, I have only touched on the subject of directing a class, and in the future I intend to go into greater detail, offering suggestions that I hope will be of assistance. Until our next opportunity to exchange ideas, I salute your dedicated service and support your every effort to expand the Light of God that is eternally victorious. Together we shall welcome the coming of the New Age of Spiritual Freedom!
