What a joy it is to have the opportunity of speaking to you on the very first day of this Conference, as we all come together in loving, receptive God-consciousness! Each one of you has come here centered within a God-conscious state-of-mind. Thus, you know you will both give and receive far more benefit than would otherwise be possible.
GOD-consciousness is the state-of-mind you must develop within yourselves until there is nothing left of the human consciousness that has misguided and mis-directed you for so long! Bless all that is of the human now and then let it go! Bless it, because it is the very frustration within it that has brought you to the feet of the Holy Christ Self, and let it go, knowing that it has fulfilled its purpose. From this time forth, know and accept the Inner Christ, the Master who lives within your hearts, will be your guide, protector, your one and only, undivided SELF!
I begin My lecture with a question. What is a chela? To define a word often opens the door to higher understanding, encouraging your mind to search and probe for higher truth; to look for the deeper meanings within your everyday life. The words 'chela' and 'disciple' mean the same thing. Either word may be used to designate one who follows the teachings of the Ascended Masters.
You become a chela when you recognize the truth in the teachings of the Ascended Masters, and desire to follow that truth to its conclusion, and become as We are!
You have been taught that without Our help and assistance, you could not make the ascension. This is true, and it is the reason We remain within the atmosphere of the planet. As you progress along the Path of Mastery, you gradually become more and more like the Master who is your Sponsor. He or She will lead you to other members of the Spiritual Hierarchy whenever you need to learn specific lessons. This is why, although you are sponsored by one specific Master, you gradually come to know so many of Us. Some of you, who know who your Sponsor is, have not fully understood this point, feeling from time to time that your loyalties might be at question. If you are concerned about this point, I ask that you now release it, because while all Ascended Masters have completely balanced Their understanding and use of life force, We do have Our special fields of expertise. So do each one of you.
However, before you can fully enter into your special field of endeavor, you must learn to balance your energies and understanding upon all seven Cosmic Rays. In this process, you must and shall develop tolerance and love for every other part of life! This is the Mastery you seek! It is the highest path you can walk upon the Earth, and the most difficult of attainment. However, it is also the final course you will take, and when it is completed, you shall stand beside us in your work from that time forth. So, I will say persevere! Keep on keeping on, and never give up!
My beloved ones, I cannot tell you who among you is a chela, and who is still walking the probationary path. I cannot tell you who now serves as an initiate, having completed certain higher initiations that were recently offered to all of you. This can only be revealed to each individual person at the right time, and in the right way, by his or her own Sponsor. Premature assumptions made on the part of a chela may pull such a one off the path, delaying his progress. I would like to make some suggestions that will help you avoid this possibility.
You are at a precarious point upon the path. It is a time when you must take very careful thought, always entering into your Heartflame before either speaking or taking action in your life situations. You must spend more time in silence, and learn what true silence is. Many of Us have spoken to you about this, both in discourses and within your hearts, if you happen to be listening. That is My point! You must listen within, paying attention to your own reactions before speaking out of time, possibly delaying the progress of others, as well as yourself. You must set the example.
There are three basic steps to learning any art, and chelaship is no different from any other art in this respect. The first step is you must desire to learn. The second is, you must listen, listen, listen! The third is you must act as that you wish to be! If you wish to be a chela, you must act as a chela. You must think, see, and feel as a chela! You must determine within your hearts this is the only thing you wish to do, and then do it!
I have requested the beloved Karmic Board that the World Teachers give detailed suggestions and instructions that will help you in the process of attaining the mastery you desire. I have asked that they, in their diversified Wisdom, Love and Understanding, bring forth the extremely important points which will be of great assistance to those of you who truly desire to walk this high path to your own ascensions. I will advise, assist, and support your every effort to expand the Light of your own beings, for this is My Being My Heart's desire!
We have been together for a long time! Many of you were with Me in Atlantis, and later in the Temple at Luxor. Now, you both work and study in the Ascension Temple at Shamballa, assisting the members of the Brotherhood of the Ascension Flame in many ways! I ask you to accept My teaching and My encouragement as we enter our Conference together. Feel My gratitude, as well as My love and confidence in your every effort to expand the Eternal Light of the Ascension Flame, now enfolding you, each precious One!
