NOTES FROM A MASTER TO HIS PUPIL - II
(As a special dispensation to the Bridge Students this year, one of our Chelas has been permitted to share with them the private instruction received from the Master).
How to regain the Divine Powers: When men voluntarily left God's Kingdom through accepting a power opposed to God, he left on the threshold of that Kingdom all the Divine Powers of his being, for when he swore allegiance to the physical appearance world, he relinquished all claim to the Powers that belonged to the Godhead. When he chooses to return to God's Kingdom he must, in his own feelings, relinquish all claim to human powers and all belief in all powers opposed to God. He must step within the threshold of God's Kingdom gently and humbly as a child and in this state of humility the God Powers will leap forth to enfold him, for they are most eager for avenues of expression.
A Co-Worker with the Gods: Among the great unfeeling mass of mankind, the Spiritual Hierarchy works ceaselessly and now and again one Flame may be chosen as showing promise of advancement over and above the masses. Such a one is singled out for special and individual attention and every opportunity and every cosmic attention that the Cosmic Law will allow is offered to assist the expansion of that particular Flame and as soon as it is awakened to a point where it becomes conscious of the Divine Plan, such a Flame helps its own progress by becoming a co-worker with the Gods - an Open Door and a Conductor of their Light to mankind. Such a privileged one are you. Consider not lightly this individual protection, blessing and responsibility.
How to build your own bridge: Direct contact between Master and pupil is the state toward which all aspiring souls would come. When the lifestream becomes pure enough and the brain and body finely tuned, the Master appears. Meanwhile, because the individual's own previous defilement of his vessels, he is earthbound to the point where he cannot consciously contact the celestial spheres. However, now and again, we find a sensitive spirit, who may, by Cosmic Law, be permitted to transmit our direct instruction to a chosen few and thus the veil of silence is broken and the chosen few are permitted before their time and by Grace, not merit, to experience the Wisdom of the Gods, which gives them the means by which they, too, may one day reestablish the connection between the human and the Divine. Therefore we suggest that you gratefully accept The Bridge, using the material offered to build your own bridge, and the moment the last span is laid you will find the Masters standing revealed. Then you will no longer require another vehicle to convey our Celestial Desires to you.
Daily Self-Surrender: The process of the Ascension means raising the human consciousness to the point where it is eager and willing to surrender to the mighty God Self which has given it life. This self-surrender must become a feeling that is sustained throughout all the day's activities, when the personal identity would choose to exert its authority, power and independence of action. There is a tremendous inner attunement which makes a conscious chela absolutely negative before the God Self, and yet in a humble submission to the Divine direction the chela expresses a dynamic, positive radiation to the human appearance and personality of others. If you will dwell on this you will see through the veil to the Truth that lies therein.
The Truth is with you: Blessed be your search for Truth which has been long and faithful. It is like a starving man in search for food. Now the Truth is with you. Be as zestful in enjoying it as you were in looking for it. Sometimes we look for many lifetimes and enjoy the anticipation more than the fruits.
The Alliance of Master and Pupil: There are several reasons for an alliance of Master and pupil. First, at a certain point of spiritual evolution, the student is entitled to more individual guidance to facilitate his individual growth. Second, the Master is always looking for instruments of a sensitive and responsive nature to widen his field of service on the Earth plane. Third, through past association, certain Masters owe a balance of service to individuals who, in some manner or other, assisted their spiritual growth through centuries past.
These reasons all form a means by which the Cosmic Law may be approached to give consent to such a Spiritual alliance. The alliance must bear fruit in the form of spiritual advancement of the individual or constructive good for humanity, or active assistance to the Brotherhood's work in a locality. On such fruit, is the future Association based.
Balance your debt to Life: Each man is a heart center of creative energy. His world is the result of his choice of creation, BUT, in the eternal scheme of things all men must redeem every ounce of energy they have drawn from the Universal Storehouse and sent forth into the atmosphere of Earth "under their name". NOW is the time, in the mercy of the Violet Flame to quickly balance your individual debt to the life you have used so lavishly.
Release from outer appearances: There is a central point of each one's being which is the heart center of that lifestream. In this central place of poise is peace, mastery, dignity, happiness, enthusiasm and love of the Light. Every man, woman and child who lives off-center, with their consciousness focused in any of the lower bodies, emotional, mental, etheric or physical, will find themselves from time to time in distress, but as one consciously makes one's way through the maze of human thought and feeling back to the Divine identity of the Sacred Fire in the heart, one learns how to find the Open Door to complete release and relief from the outer appearances.
Become the Truth: There is a wide difference between understanding the Law and becoming the Christ. The need of people who understand the Law is great, because they can convey the understanding to others and give them the application by which they, too, may unfold their Divine Plan to consume in the painless action of the Sacred Fire the miscreations of their lives. Thus, the karma of the one who presents the Law is greatly lightened by his ability to make other souls progress on the Path and ofttimes the ones receiving the Law more quickly become the embodiments of it than the Teacher. But you must make the Law part of your flesh, you must become the Truth you convey to others.
