INSTRUCTION BY THE MAHA CHOHAN AND THE SEVEN CHOHANS

V

On Precipitation

The activity of the Ray of Light is precipitation. Therefore, the power of precipitation which is so much desired by mankind is actually not only embodied in their creation but the activity of their sustained Presence in the Universe. Each self-conscious intelligence is precipitated from the Central Source of God's Heart and the flowing stream of electrons which constitutes the lifestream is a precipitation of energy which never ceases while individualization and self-conscious intelligence functions in any sphere of manifestation.

THE MAHA CHOHAN

On Criticism

Will you please take your stand against releasing criticism in thought, feeling or spoken word. You see, it makes the purification and cleansing of the Earth plane an endless task, if those who know that energy acts according to their qualification of it, still continue to pour it forth qualified imperfectly. What purpose is it to spend an hour with the Violet Flame, and then 12 hours feeding discord into a Planet sick unto death with unhappiness.

Your goal is Perfection! Your standard of conduct should be Perfection! Your Masters express only Perfection! You want to be perfection in action, as quickly as possible. Why not start now! Measure your every thought, word and deed against perfection, and if it does not meet that test, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE USING. Do not release it into the world! Why work for hours transmuting distress and then in idle moments generate its cause again!

EL MORYA

On Reverence for Life

One of the gifts that comes with Illumination is the use of the inner sight. When you are privileged to see the Chalice of the Heart within which burns the Fire of Immortality (the spiritual garment of each individualization) then you, too, will love and reverence life no matter in what form you may meet it. In response to love, that life will rush forth expanding and expanding its sphere of influence until every vibratory action, which is the cause of the shadows existing within it, is transmuted.

The East has much to offer the Occidental mind and the West has much to offer the Oriental consciousness. One of the gifts which is ours to offer is a natural reverence for life. We are hoping, through this instruction, that you will achieve a far greater depth of perception of the magnificent gifts that the self-conscious Ascended Master Intelligence and Beings represent in themselves.

LANTO

On the Stilling of the Mind

The necessity for quieting the vibratory action of the inner bodies cannot be over emphasized to the student intent upon rising above the consciousness of the outer self. The rapid and erratic motion of the various vehicles through which the soul functions makes it almost impossible for the clear, concise, directions of The Presence to anchor into the consciousness with sufficient intensity to promote action of a constructive nature that is consistent and permanent. You have all had the experience of trying to make yourself heard over the babble of voices in a large room. This is the position of the Christ Self, awaiting courteously, opportunity to reach the outer mind and enable the personal self to cooperate with the fulfillment of the Divine Plan of that one's being. The stilling of the mind, the feelings and the physical body, even for a few moments several times a day, is a commendable practice for the aspirant toward Mastery.

PAUL THE VENETIAN

On the Causes of Disease

Every organ and cell within the physical mechanism has a vibratory action of its own, separate and distinct from the vibratory action of its neighbor's. Within the inner bodies, there are certain centers that vibrate in unison with these physical organisms. Certain mental and emotional distortions within the inner bodies affect the physical mechanism in a discordant manner, so that the inner vehicles must be harmonized and purified in order to have a permanent relief and release from mal-adjustment of the outer self. When these inner causes are removed from the consciousness by illumination of the outer mind, the purification of the inner bodies and the co-operation of the personal self, you will find the distressing effect in the physical organism dissolved and dropping away.

SERAPIS BEY

On Precipitation

For man to struggle to acquire the power of precipitation is a travesty, for there is no moment, waking or sleeping, day or night when even the most ignorant and ungoverned human being is not precipitating. The forces of the four elements precipitate and even the animal kingdom are capable of sending forth radiation. Therefore, the fundamental principle to learn is not HOW to precipitate, but WHAT to precipitate and how to CONTROL that which is precipitated.

Now, precipitation is not a Power that has not been conferred - it is a power that is in constant use, but ungoverned except by the Higher Mind and it is the Divine Plan that all men shall bring forth Perfection through the conscious controlled use of this faculty.

HILARION

On the Power of the Feeling Nature

Let us consider a complex piece of mechanism which can be utilized to carry a great plane into the atmosphere against the gravity pull of Earth. The mechanism itself is powerless to effect action until the motivating energy passes through it and the resulting flight ensues. In a similar manner, the energy reserve whereby creative thought becomes manifest lies in the seventy-five percent (75%) of energy poured into the emotional body from the Presence for the express purpose of filling the thoughtform with the creative energy whereby the thought is manifest.

Let us take another homely example of the power the feeling nature plays in the daily activities of any lifestream. A woman is desirous of making a dress; she buys her material which is similar to the Universal Light Substance surrounding the individual; she buys her pattern which is similar to choosing a divine idea for manifestation; she has her scissors which are similar to the mind force by which divine ideas are cut out of the Universal Light. So far, although all the requisites are at hand, there is no manifestation. She might leave these preparations for an entire lifetime and be without the dress. Or she might draw the energy reserve, which is the motivating power from her own feeling nature which would be stimulated and drawn forth by her desire for the dress. This energy reserve, or the Holy Spirit through her, would cut the pattern and complete the garment.

NADA

On the Snares of the Senses

After the personal self is shorn of all sense of importance and vanity; after it finds itself to be nothing, then the Spirit begins to raise the consciousness gently, but in a sustained manner, to greater heights, from whence there is no returning to the snares of the senses. This is a voluntary, individual process in which no other lifestream can interfere. The soul loses all sense of personal responsibility and yet in losing that sense of personal responsibility for any particular part of life, it becomes aware of a universal responsibility for life everywhere. This freedom from the chains of serving the personal brings the Spirit to an understanding of the words of our Great Master "When I am lifted up so are all men", and the ascending consciousness climbing the Mount of Attainment becomes a quickening power of the entire consciousness of all peoples.

While one still feels bound to any distinct and separate part of life, he has not yet set foot upon the upper regions of the Holy Mount. When one can stand naked and stripped of all individual attraction, and has replaced love of part for love of all, then the Great Cosmic Law, like the winged eagle, swoops downward and carries the individual consciousness on its broad back quickly to a point of union with Divinity.
