The Shamballa Letter

Beloved Chelas, 

When Lord Maitreya first put forth the Spiritual Journal as a training tool, he suggested that each chela begin by reviewing and listing the lessons which had been offered through the Bridge to Spiritual Freedom Journal. He then recommended that the chelas assess their progress in each area, using the Spiritual Journal to record ongoing successes and challenges. 

The Assimilation and Expansion discourse included in each monthly Bridge Journal, is intended to unite the energies of our chelas to a common purpose, regardless of whether or not those involved are able to work with a group in their individual physical location. As our chelas begin to fully participate in the group work of this Activity, the entire Body of Light is enriched and enlightened to an immeasurable extent! 

In order to be more perceptive of the part you, as an individual, may take in the group work, I advise that you attune yourself to the Great Silence, before opening the gifts which we offer to you through the publications, conferences, and other activities of the Bridge to Spiritual Freedom. When you are centered and still, take time to then prepare your consciousness for learning, as we discussed last week. 

Next, you may begin to ascend the steps which lead to Illumined Obedience. In so doing, you thereby attune yourself to the Principle of Relinquishment, which my dear brother, John the Beloved, so ably explained earlier this year. This Principle states that when you consciously relinquish all control into the Hands of your Inner Christ, your Christ is then enabled to fully act through your lower vehicles. Master Jesus spoke of this Principle when he said: "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. By this my father is glorified, that you bear much fruit... I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven…" 

As a chela of the Great White Brotherhood, you are given the "keys of the Kingdom" in the form of Divine Principle and Law. By moving with care through the steps to Illumined Obedience, these keys may be used to unlock the doors of every room in our father's house. 

The first step, you will recall, is to "ASK." When you appeal to the Inner Christ for guidance, you have taken this step. By turning to the Presence of God I AM in this way, the chela is necessarily turning away from human consciousness in favor of the Divine. This, in itself, is relinquishment! 

When a chela "asks," the response from the Holy Christ Self is always immediate, although human consciousness is not always at a vibratory level capable of perceiving the response. Thus, the next step is to "WAIT". As you wait in an attitude of faith, and listen trustfully, you will begin to "DISCERN" the voice of your Inner Christ. The voice of the Christ may be recognized in innumerable ways:  through the emotional body, as feelings of Divine nature; through the mental body, as concepts and ideas; through the etheric body, as memories or reflections; and through the physical body, as warmth, light, comfort and so forth. 

Because you have prepared yourself to receive, your lower vehicles will be sensitive to the signals of the Holy Christ Self. United with Divine Mind, you will intuitively know when to act, and what action to take as you proceed with your studies. You will be able to spiritually discern the various ways in which the Words of the Masters apply to your life experience and the ways these lessons may be applied to the work at hand. 

I urge you to make good use of your Personal Spiritual Journal at this point in the study process. During our time together, you have learned that raising your four lower vehicles to the vibration of the Christ takes perseverance and practice. I remind you that the enlightenment gained during your times in the Silence must be carefully guarded and protected, lest you slip into forgetfulness under the assault of the many voices of the world of form. I counsel you to take every opportunity to anchor the Light by means of your Journal, as the process of uplifting and re-educating your lower vehicles continues. 

I bless you - each one - for the effort and commitment you are bringing to the tasks at hand. The momentum of Christ Consciousness which you are creating right now in your own life experience is adding immeasurably to the radiation of Divine Light from the planet Earth! Truly, you stand now upon that mighty Bridge, across which all mankind will one day journey to freedom!
