Beloved Chelas,
Knowledge without understanding is of little use. The word "illumination" has been used for centuries by those who desire the wisdom that they perceive in the Master. "Illumination" truly means "understanding" in its fullest possible sense. To be illumined means to receive the wisdom to know how to put knowledge to use.
To the man who asks you for knowledge, always respond: "Ask for wisdom, as well as knowledge, so that you may receive the highest and the best! Ask to know the right use of this gift, for the best and highest good of all concerned!"
You know within your hearts that it is expected of you - as chelas on the Pathway of Light - to teach. Teaching takes many forms, and I instruct you now to always be sure you have gone within the center of your Heart Flame, and there received the wisdom required, before you attempt to lead another on the path. If there is any uncertainty within your mind or your feelings as to the answer to a question presented to you by another person, then do not speak! It is far wiser, and certainly more truthful, to say "I don't know", than it is to give wrong advice.
The highest form of teaching is always by right example. In this way, think of yourself as walking beside another, as you move toward the Light of Full Truth. You cannot cast a shadow on his world if you hold him by the hand and walk beside him. God, and God's Truth, indwells every human heart, and that is the Truth you can best teach.
