The Shamballa Letter

VOLUME 11, Number 48                                                                            November 28th, 1989

Dear Students of Light,

I want to remind you of a most wonderful spiritual gift. That gift is your individuality. Your individuality is truly a gift beyond compare! It represents your specific contributions to the quality of life that no one else can give in exactly the same way. It is the treasure you seek to discover, and express. It is your individual Divine Plan, held within the heart of the Holy Christ Self within your beating heart!

The caution to be given is to not to confuse your gift of individuality with exclusiveness. A Great Master once advised the people to 'test the spirits'. This is an important key to spiritual advancement. To find whether a quality is from God, ask yourself if that quality causes you to feel a sense of separation from your brothers and sisters in the family of man. If you find that it does, you may be sure that it is not a true God-quality, but a qualification made by human consciousness.

A true disciple of Holy Spirit will recognize and treasure his own individuality, recognizing that he can accomplish his work within this framework, and he will feel a sense of security in this realization. Even more important, he will perceive and value all other contributions to their quality of life, honoring the gift of individuality in all others as well. He will understand if his brother's contribution is not yet fully developed. He will encourage those who are struggling to develop their individual gifts, assisting them in the understanding that no other person can make their particular contribution. He will be grateful for their help in bringing forth the Universal Divine Plan for all life.

Thank the Father of all Light and the Mother of all Love for this gift, in yourself and in all others, for the Divine Plan for this Earth cannot be brought forth without each cell being present. I love you, and I thank you for your attention and your understanding.

Paul, the Maha Chohan
