Blessed Chelas 

When King Solomon was asked for an understanding of life, his wisdom, having gained for him a great reputation, he did not answer for 72 hours, and when he came from his contemplation he gave the phrase which has been oft repeated but little understood... "With all thy getting, get understanding." 

Now "understanding" is a word that conveys to the average mind very little concrete or practical “meat” upon which to expand one's spiritual or material growth. I like to use the word "realization" where Solomon used "understanding" because "realization" and "realize" both convey to the thinking mind a certain Light of Illumination which gives a true picture of reality. 

Now the earnest chela wants the Truth. He wants Reality. And if he is wise he does desire to comply with whatever requisites are demanded in order to abide within the Law. If the chela has no realization or illumination concerning the Universe, the mankind of Earth and his relationship to them, he cannot intellectually become a co­worker with either God or the Spiritual Hierarchy. 

When he has a true realization he will not work from below (as from within the human consciousness) trying to fit certain Virtues into his human consciousness because he has been told they belong there, but with no understanding of why; but rather contemplates the true order of things, asking for the Masters' Light, Understanding and Realization of his relationship to his fellowman, the Animal Kingdom, the Nature Sprites and God. He cannot ask without being given instantaneous assistance... and he will be lifted to the apex of the hill where he may fully understand Purity, Peace and Love... and understanding must manifest through him. 

Further, he will manifest those Qualities naturally because in the light of his new knowledge he will comprehend the ONENESS of Life, and the love which he has previously reserved for self will expand as he finds himself to be all-encompassing and flowing thru every man.
