Beloved of My Heart: 

The God Attribute of Understanding is a little developed Quality in the masses, but it is one which should be further cultivated by the chela. 

Understanding is a Force which magnetizes other God Gifts, for when one 'understands' the motive behind another's action, he becomes a tolerant individual, and that feeling is a component of Pure Divine Love. 

The chela should now realize, and accept, the fact that all the energy flowing from an individual is a Gift of the Father of all Life, regardless of the manner in which it is qualified by the individual, given so freely that the inhabitants of this Earth may externalize God's Nature. 

We have often referred to 'Listening Grace', for through this communion with the Inner Self, the understanding which develops from the Heart of the "I AM" Presence, enables one to be a more perfect instrument of the Father. 

Many years ago, the Beloved Holy Æolus said that Saint Francis (The World Teacher, Kuthumi) was One of those who had perfect understanding of God, and through this Gift he travelled home to the Father. He accepted in his consciousness the supremacy of the Wisdom of the Father and identified his nature with the Father’s Will. In all life, he saw the Presence of God, and was in constant prayer that he would understand God's Purpose through all created things. In so doing he loved all forms of life, as witness his magnetic attraction of the birds, the animals, and his fellow human traveler upon the Path, and all responded to him in gratitude for the emanation of God's Love. 

Wise is he who emulates the Holy Francis of Assisi, and remembers the adage - 'with all thy getting, get Understanding'.
