Beloved of My Heart:

As you know, the Breath of Life is priceless. The Holy Christ Self breathes through the lungs the Breath which sustains the human form, and for only as long as the Higher Self feels that the expenditure of the Pure Energy in that Breath will be used for the ultimate good of the individual and the race. When the Higher Self determines that the outer personality is no longer serving a constructive purpose by learning a lesson through which the consciousness will grow, it ceases to make its application to the Prana of the Universe, and the respiratory system ceases to function.

The personality may think that there are many individuals drawing Breath who serve no constructive purpose. We answer by saying that we are not dealing with the superficial service existence of the people. We and the Individual "I AM" Presence of every individual are concerned with the evolution of the soul. The soul sometimes requires very intense experiences, fraught with distress, which will make such a definite imprint in the consciousness that by reason thereof succeeding lives will show benefit and progress, and at times the Holy Christ Self allows the Breath to sustain a headstrong personality in his progress towards what appears to be destruction for this lesson.

The process of drawing the Breath into the body is therefore not controlled by the Body Elemental, but by the Holy Christ Self. If this were not so the time of disembarking from the Third Dimensional Plane would not be under the control of the God Flame, and the Body Elemental could continue to draw breath, according to its limited capacity, indefinitely.

The shallow breath of the unawakened is the protection, to some extent, by the Higher Self, lest the personality draw from the Prana certain strengths and powers, which, uncontrolled, would cause a greater reaction to the outer self.

The aspiring chela may safely increase the drawing of the Breath from the Universe with the full knowledge that in that greater power he will have a greater capacity of endurance, spiritual illumination and vitality.

For centuries the peoples of the Far Eastern countries have been well versed in the power which is held within deep breathing. It can be one of the greatest beauty treatments to erase lines from the face as well as distortions of the figure.

Remind the outer self at every opportunity, whenever you have a few moments of freedom for thought, to set into motion the deep Breath through all your bodies, and you will find that five minutes of such breathing will give more rest and relaxation than an hour's sleep.

Love and Blessings,

THE MAHA CHOHAN
