The Shamballa Letter

VOLUME 20, Number 39                                                                                                             September 24, 2001

 Beloved chelas,

Today I shall deviate from the task at hand very slightly by suggesting that you set aside some time this week to be outdoors and through a walking mediation, observe the beauty of God which surrounds you each and every day. What do I mean by the term "walking meditation"? A walking mediation is a slow and gentle walk where you are able to really become silent and tune into what is taking place within and around you. It is a time to use all your senses - what you hear, see, taste, touch and smell and through them drink deeply of your surroundings and become one with our Mother-Father God.

This week in honor of beloved Archangel Michael and to continue working to unite the three kingdoms - angelic, elemental and human - let us not only focus upon ourselves but on the angels and elemental life forms we observe as we move through this sacred exercise. Begin by letting go of all the mental, emotional and etheric noise which constantly invades your space. Take several deep cleansings breaths to help quiet your mind. Next, ask all the beings of the angelic and elemental kingdoms to reveal themselves to you as you now begin your sacred journey.

Continuing to focus on the Holy Breath of God, observe how your body moves. Do your arms swing loosely and effortlessly or are they held tightly and close to you body? Watch each slow and deliberate step you take. What makes you follow the path you do as you move through this silent mediation of movement and peace? Do you tend to step on or over each and every rock you come across? Do you pause from time to time for a moment of reflection or enjoyment?

As you look at your surroundings do you notice every individual flower, bush, tree or shrub or do you tend to see the bigger picture? Do you allow the great expanse of the sky above draw you into its magnificence? Are you able to see the many legions of angels gently gliding by as they go about their task of answering the many calls they receive daily from the human kingdom? Where are the sylphs, undines, salamanders and gnomes? As your hand gently reaches out to touch a beautiful flower or move aside the gnarled limb of a tree, do the fairies run for cover or do they remain where they are offering you a heartfelt blessing?

Sacred journeys such as these are extremely important and will greatly assist in your spiritual development beloved ones! I urge you to create time for them, at least once a month if not more.
