The Shamballa Letter

VOLUME 20, Number 28                                                                                                                       July 9, 2001

My dear friends,

Before moving on I would like to share a question with you recently posed to me: What is the difference between the stillness and the Silence? Once again I offer information on this topic from previous teachings (Excerpts previously published June 18, 1993) to answer this question.

"...I will tell you that it is necessary to enter into and pass through the stillness to reach the Great Silence. As the outer perimeter of the Silence is reached, the Cloak of Quietude is placed about your shoulders. It is necessary to be clothed in this garment before one may be permitted to enter the Silence. The Silence is a sacred and holy focus of Light. One must be enfolded in a vibration of humility and anonymity before it is possible to enter therein..."

"...As you enter the stillness become conscious of your breathing. As you inbreathe see the Light from the Heart of your Presence enter your crown chakra and proceed to your Heartcenter. As you exhale, see the Light expand outward from your Heartcenter to fill each of your lower vehicles in turn: first the physical, then the etheric, mental and emotional bodies. As you purify each body affirm: Blazing in, through and around my vehicle, the full momentum of the Violet Transmuting Flame, the most powerful aspect of love, instantly transmutes all outstanding energy back into perfection. I AM at perfect peace! I AM at perfect peace! I AM at perfect peace! After purifying all four vehicles simply rest in the stillness. Feel the perfect peace which you have claimed for yourself as it fills your being..."

As you can see there is a very important difference between the stillness and the Great Silence. As you experience this exercise may you fully come to understand the meaning of these two concepts. Perhaps the difference would be a good topic to write about in your Spiritual Journal beloved one.
