The Wesak Festival

The Wesak Festival honors our Beloved Lord Gautama. On the night of the full moon in May, spiritual seekers from every part of the planet gather together to receive the blessings and benediction of beloved Lord Gautama. No announcement is made as to the location of activity. By the magnetic power of His Love only, individuals who accept the tenets embodied in His teachings of the Middle Way are guided by their hearts to the correct location.

In 1966, beloved Gautama transferred the power and authority of this Blessing to Lord Maitreya, who had assumed the office of the Buddha. From that time, Lord Maitreya continues to dispense the Love and Blessings of the Lord of the World to all who assemble every year in the Valley where the Wesak Festival is held. The Blessings released by Lord Maitreya continue to pulsate in the atmosphere for a 24-hour period. This year, the Wesak Festival will take place on the night of May 24, and all of the chelas who, through their heart's love, tune in to this Holy Ceremony, may magnetize His Blessings, and amplify them throughout the entire planet.

We are pleased to announce that a series of special classes will be held at Headquarters during this month to attune to the energies of the Wesak Festival. We will join in consciousness with the Ascended Masters and all those lifestreams who will be making the pilgrimage to the Vale of Kashmir this year, both physically and in projected consciousness.

The dates of these classes are from Monday evening, May 23, 1994, through Wednesday, May 25, at 8 PM EST. The Wesak Festival occurs on Tuesday, May 24, at the full moon.

Preparation for the Wesak Festival

 Beloved Chelas,

We are united in Brotherhood as One Heart, One Mind and One Body of Light, as expressed through the Activity of The Bridge to Spiritual Freedom. In that Spirit, let us prepare ourselves individually and as a group, to expand the Blessings of the Lord of the World, as released by Lord Maitreya at the time of the Wesak Festival on May 24. To this end, let us remember:

We stand in Faith, alert for the opportunity to serve. We stand in Illumination’s Flame, absorbing the knowledge, wisdom and understanding required to fulfill this opportunity. We stand with hearts united in love and brotherhood, determined to be the manifest examples of the Christ in Action upon our Earth.

'I AM THAT I AM' is our watchword, and we know that with every breath and heartbeat, we are increasing the Light upon the Earth. As Embodied Beings of Light, and on behalf of all our brothers and sisters in the One United Human Family, we decree:
