Beloved Chelas of Light,

I bow in deep love and reverence before the Flame of Life within each one of your hearts. It increases in radiance each time that I look upon it. I ask that you take time each and every precious day you spend upon the planet Earth to love that Flame, for it is during these earthly sojourns that the most phenomenal progress may be made upon your spiritual paths. The reason for this is that you have the opportunity to learn a lesson, to apply it, and to bring it into physical manifestation.

In the time spent in the inner realms between incarnations, much may be learned. However, to attain the ascension, and - at a later date - to be able to serve as an Ascended Master, you must be able to precipitate all lessons in theory and principle into their corresponding physical forms. Until this is accomplished, your lessons are not complete. If I may use a simple illustration, it would be much like going to college and earning a degree, but not actually holding the job and earning the pay.

One of the vehicles for the precipitation of greater good into your lives is ritual or ceremony. Many spiritual ideas and ideals may be brought forth through appropriate ceremonies. Many people who are awakening in spiritual consciousness have, temporarily, turned their backs upon ritual, thinking it to be an outmoded form of expression. However, as you are well aware, ritual is a strong impetus of the Seventh Ray, and it shall be brought forth in full measure as the New Age comes into greater expression. The form of rituals may change, but they will be an important part of the expression of the New Age upon the Earth.

I ask that you put aside all concepts of ritual you have ever held - at least for now. In that way, you will be able to receive My teaching with a new and fresh approach. A little later, perhaps you will be able to view old rituals with new understanding, so that they may continue to enrich your lives.

Ritual is prevalent even among the animal kingdom, because it is a way of saying that something is important and significant, without the use of words. Although rituals may change and adjust to the times, they are unlikely to ever disappear from the face of the Earth. If they should, the Earth would be a poorer place.

Each ritual contains within itself the purpose for which it was created. The ritual itself is of less importance than the principle that it is intended to express. Ritual is a form through which a spiritual idea or understanding may be expressed, so that those who are observing it, or participating in it, may be impressed with its deeper significance. Throughout ages of times, rituals have been created and used to symbolize an inner meaning that is difficult to express in words.

Most of Our chelas have learned to think in symbols to some degree, rather than interpreting all of their understandings through words. Often, when words fail, a ritual may express the deepest feelings of the heart. Those who observe the ritual will receive the blessings it brings, even though they may be unable to explain its meaning to another person.

In this Activity of Light, one of the rituals We have given is that of the use of decrees and affirmations. This is deeply significant of the power of the spoken word, and the way in which it is used. As you use the decrees, much transmutation is taking place - far more than you could possibly imagine! The use of decrees in the group work should be brought to the highest possible expression of unity. I ask that the directors work to perfect their methods of leading the decrees to this end.

It is important to perfect your powers of visualization to a high degree of unity as well. Again, the skills of the directors are of utmost importance. This may be worked upon until all of you who are acting as directors become adept at unifying the consciousness of the participating chelas through visualizations. You are aware that My Flame is that of Precipitation, and I will BLAZE this Flame through your every effort to manifest unity within your groups.

I have spoken of skills, but there is a higher expression, and that is love. The love with which rituals are performed is far more important that the skill of the performance itself. I want you to understand that every effort you make as directors, and as participating chelas in the services that are given, is dear to Our hearts! The very act of learning to present a ritual is an act of love.

A sacred ritual of any culture or religion, when publicly performed and skillfully given with love to heal life, carries a blessing throughout the Earth. It vibrates to the very core of creation!

In these times, do not fear to open your rituals to others. Whether they understand or join you is relatively unimportant. It will create a pathway of love and light to be walked upon later by the feet of those who do not understand or accept it today. For many centuries certain rituals have been kept secret for protection. Now they are being shared to bless and heal, to perfect the concentration of the individual upon them as a focal point, and to help express reverence and love above and beyond all outer circumstance that may be directed against them. LOOK for the principle! LEARN the principle! REVERE the principle! LOVE the principle Make ritual an art in your life, not becoming a slave to the outer form, but bound to the principle from which it emerges! As you do this, sacred ritual will carry you into the highest Heavens upon the wings of your reverence and love!

One voice raised in song, chant, or decree, with love and reverence, with a desire to heal the Earth, will be a force undeniable. It will accomplish its purpose. Think what it will be when all of Our chelas are united in such a way! These sacred sounds resonate throughout the universe and move outward into interstellar space, where they live for eons of time! Through them, all discordant and inharmonious sounds shall be transmuted, bringing harmony and peace to a sorrowing world. Much has been accomplished, and there is much yet to be done.

I hope that My words may bring you hope, understanding, and encouragement to perfect the skills that will heal the Earth upon which you live. I AM always with you, and I love you, each and every one!
