Lady Portia, Goddess of Opportunity:

"I AM" grateful for the opportunity to speak to you, and I would like to use this time to talk to you about our youth.

Many great Spirits are taking embodiment now, and in the years directly ahead of us, who have important functions to carry on to expand the Teachings of the Ascended Masters. They will be serving throughout the Earth, on behalf of the entire race. I ask you to continue to call so that these unselfish Ones find the best of possible environments in which to be, so they may develop to their highest potential. Then they may give the greatest spiritual service possible - the service for which they took embodiment.

From the Spark of God within the elemental form to the full-blown Flame of the Immortal Solar Deity, we cognize Spiritual development. In humanity, too, the Flame of Divinity is not always present in the same degree. It all depends upon the dedication of the lifestream through the centuries.

I counsel you to take this opportunity that "I AM" offering to you, to make calls in a rhythmic pattern for the perfect habitation for these souls... for their protection, and for the protection of their parents and guardians. It is so important that, as they grow in age and develop their spiritual potential, they be understood in their behavior. They must be allowed the privilege of being understood, as their words and actions will seem less childlike in some ways.

The Beloved Master Kuthumi has been a Teacher of the young, and of those who have preceded them through many ages. Many of you, as parents and guardians now, are being offered a most wonderful opportunity at this time, and our Teacher asks that you make many calls to him, as he has helped you through to a point where you can now do this. Call to our Teacher to help you to help them. He will assist you in action, words and deeds, that you will be an example to all. It has been said, and I remind you, "Example is the greatest teacher."

To be a teacher in the human world, one studies the various subjects one is going to present to the students. One must be well versed in all phases.... and be prepared to assist the ones who are coming in, for there will be a wide range of consciousness in each individual one, and more complexity.

You have been made aware in your own training, be it spiritual or secular, that, to qualify as a teacher, there is always that which will be new to you. The individual who believes he knows every aspect of a subject is engaging, his ego. Many students can easily detect that, and may be disillusioned.

The Members of the Spiritual Hierarchy of various times told you that Truth never changes - it just becomes expanded within your consciousness. Anyone who believes he knows all about a subject has much to learn. A teacher must be familiar with as many aspects of a subject as possible. For instance, one who learns the simple means by which he can operate a typewriter, who then believes he can operate a computer, will find upon trying that he is only acquainted with the basics.

We have given you the basics of Spiritual Law, and now as these basics are being put into practice, many students are finding that they are not as well grounded as they thought!

Constancy is most imperative, for when one applies their beliefs, now and again, they may lack some conviction.

To be a true accomplished teacher, one must be ready at all times to learn a new or expanded version of the subject. As one's consciousness expands, he becomes aware of how little he really knows, and he is eager for more information.

I will take this opportunity to say again - "EXAMPLE IS THE BEST TEACHER". If a teacher wishes to assist another in any lesson, he must be an EXAMPLE of that teaching. Others who come to learn often think "I wish I could be like him!" That is true when the teacher is a LIVING EXAMPLE OF THAT WHICH HE TEACHES! If you think deeply upon this truth, you will see that the door can be opened - the door through which knowledge will expand and expand, both in your own consciousness and in that of the others.

Some may think they wish to know more of the Spiritual Laws which have been given. I counsel you to take this time to first study the material which you have received, and you will find your consciousness will expand mare deeply than you are aware... you will discover new levels of Spiritual Being hidden within these teachings, than you think you now know.

Be assured that when the students under our Guidance are ready to put into practice the Truths already presented, more will be forthcoming!

Practice on the Instrument of your individual consciousness, and at this particular time, you will find progress that will be far beyond what you think possible, even as your receive these words of counsel!

As one who studies a language other than his native tongue will discover, he must be diligent and continue to think, write and converse in the new language. He will find it is essential as he uses it more frequently. Think of this as you receive my advice. As you study at greater depths, realize that Spiritual Teachings is as a new language - a foreign tongue to that which you have been using, although you have received much, it needs to be used and used and used! You will discover for yourselves that there is much that is new to you if you accept this opportunity that "I AM" offering to you now!
