Music and Drama

The opera and the world of drama serve many purposes in the scheme of evolution. There is a distinct difference between the natural conductors (musical lovers) of spiritual currents, who are unconsciously drawn by the vibrations and the chelas who have a knowledge of the activities engaging the energies of Heaven and her sons and daughters - whereas the audience is what one may call 'a great sounding board' provided by their presence and attention, a bridge over which the currents may be anchored into a city and blended into the feelings of the people, the Masters form the Directing Intelligence by which the Cosmic Devas and Angels connect the spiritual energies from the Temples of Music with the great Devas directly concerned with the location involved.
The Activity is completely acted out in the Music Temple, with an Ascended Master or Angelic Being at every position in the Cosmic Cast, and the orchestra as well. Each One works through his representative artist in the physical company, according to his receptivity, his spirituality and general capacity to be an Outpost of Divine Melody and Song.
The chelas who have been instructed in the service to be rendered through music and drama are conscious all through the presentation of what is actually taking place, have an awareness which makes such a one a 'director' of sorts.
For instance, when a Cosmic Temple is about to release the vibrations of Faith, the Devas of all churches and hospitals and spirits of the homes, schools and institutions are alerted to draw in that Blue Flame to bathe the consciousness of those lifestreams who are their particular charge. They amplify as much of the substance as they receive and bathe the inner bodies of their people in its invigorating essence.
The projection of the actual melodies over the radio or television is a tremendous blessing, because everywhere a lifestream opens his consciousness to the actual melodies or allows the presentation physical expression in a locality, another anchorage of that vibrating quality is established.
Most of the operas are based on so-called myths, whose purpose was to keep before humanity a remembrance of Truth, which is absorbed by the visual sense, the ear, the inner bodies, and gradually attunes the evolving lifestream to a liking for these Truths. This breaks down gently the opposition of the outer self, and when he stands upon the Path, many of its mysteries are unveiled through this association with the myth, fable and folk lore. Literature is the stimulus of the individual which opera and the theatre are for the masses.
Beloved Kuthumi, as Pythagoras, was the very first to re-discover what he chose to call 'The Music of the Spheres'. You will be interested in reading about his work in divining the natural tones of each Planet and their effect upon his students at Crotona. Through the medium of the lyre, he was able to reproduce the Song of the Sun and the Planets, and his pupils rose and studied scientifically designed melodies which stimulated the development of their inner bodies, as well as soothed and energized the flesh.
Let us turn our attention to the opera Faust which is based on the works of Goethe, whose master plan reveals the initiate of high degree. This story is more accurate than Gounod was able to receive. In its essence it is the triumphant return of the liberated soul (Marguerite) from the passions of its own lower nature (Faust) and this opera stems out of the Ascension Temple in the Fourth Sphere.
Before the presentation of any opera or musical activity begins, tune in through directed thought to the Music Temple where it originates. See the Divine Beings, the Cosmic Orchestra, the canopy of Directed Rays over the place where the presentation takes place. Let your vision encompass it and the town or city where it is located, then trace the invisible Rays going out over every radio or television, blessing and raising everyone who is fortunate enough to listen. As you enjoy the music and any particular 'swell' of any particular sound goes forth, let your own feelings amplify it to all whom the Angelic Host are blessing.
You can also send forth a Blessing, in lesser degree, if you choose to use the great Musical Compositions which have come forth and are presented in record form in the privacy of your own home, and you may call to the mighty Devas and Angels to render a blessing to a community, a city, a nation, or the Planet itself. This harmonious energy will raise the vibratory action of your own beings; also I have conferred with the Beloved LaMoray, who is most desirous, as I am, to assist you in this manner.
