The Activity of the Resurrection and Ascension Flames

Beloved Serapis Bey

It will indeed be my pleasure and that of the Brothers and Sisters of our Retreat to give you a most cordial welcome when you visit us during the period of May 15th through June 14th, 1965. 

"I AM" always so grateful when the attention of the chelas is centered upon our Retreat immediately following that of the activities at the Focus of the Resurrection Flame. The Resurrection Flame and the Ascension Flame serve hand-in-glove, for the Resurrection of Good must take place before that energy can be tied in to the Ascension Flame. When the Ascension Retreat has the honor on the calendar selected for the year to follow that of the Resurrection, there is always a great opportunity to impregnate the feelings of the chelas with the sustenance of the Good which has come forth by tying it in with the Ascension Flame. There is where the Brotherhood at Luxor can be of added assistance to the chelas who come to our Retreat during this period. If one has, through momentum of application, resurrected a certain Virtue in their lifestream, constant vigilance must be employed so that Virtue is not battered through any inflowing tides which the chela, off guard, may permit to enter and tie into his energy, and change the qualification of that purified substance. 

When you find a certain Quality manifesting in your lifestream which can be of benefit to the race as a whole, by being a radiating center of that God Quality, be ever alert that you guard it by calling for your Protection against the riptides of imperfection which are ceaselessly floating through the atmosphere, waiting for a magnet of like quality to tie into and thus enlarge that malfeasant activity. 

The Nature Kingdom 

Once you experience that wondrous buoyant feeling of the Resurrection Activity, you will realize to a degree why the very activity which animates the Nature Kingdom in the springtime causes such happiness in the feelings of man, when the first crocus unfolds and the tiny budding shrub sends forth its first leaf and flower. This is a marvelous time to join with the Nature Kingdom in their happiness at being able to outpicture the blueprint which their Directors have set before them. 

You might wonder why the flower fades and the leaf falls from the tree... The reason for this is likened to an embodiment of a lifestream on the Earth plane. The period of spring of the twelve-month cycle represents the time when the elemental is given the opportunity to externalize on the Earth the assignment which his Teacher has given to him. 

During the period of what one terms the rest period of the Nature Kingdom, or Winter, is far from that, for the elementals who have learned their lesson well and expressed that Perfection, are instructed in more advanced design, but like unto the human kingdom, when the expression is less than that assigned to him to outpicture, he is required to again try in the Spring and see if he has absorbed the instruction sufficiently to be advanced the following Season of blossoming. Oh, yes, the elementals have to learn the same way as you, and you know only too well that your sojourns upon this Planet have been many and varied. 

Trees - obedience outpictured 

For your edification, I bring to your attention the glorious expression of the mighty Evergreens, ensouled by those elementals who have graduated to the Devic Level. The beautiful trees are the result of constancy of the elemental, and are the conductors of great lines of Spiritual Substance into the very earth itself. For the purpose of diversification, there are many forms of trees on this Planet... some shed their leaves, according to Plan, others retain their verdure, constantly replenishing those sections which become discolored through the destructive action of man, beast, insect or the elements. From time immemorial, man has felt the great affinity within himself and the Devas of the trees - some have even conversed with these Great Beings. 

The tree has provided shelter for bird and beast. The Love of the Deva for all the creatures evolving upon this Globe is without limit. Have great respect for the constant pulsation of God-Good which flows into the Earth's substance and atmosphere through these obedient Servants of the Light. 

The Ascension of the substance of the tree  

Many of you love the warmth and glow of the log burning in the fireplace. One reason beside your physical comfort is that you are akin to the spiritual activity which the tree has rendered on the Earth, and unknowingly in most cases, inwardly rejoice that the substance which made up the habitation of the Deva is being returned for repolarization, the tree having been felled for one reason or another. It is the same as the cremation process of the human body. In the instance of the tree, the Deva is freed of any connection with the outworn form. 

I hope my little talk has given you food for thought, and possibly enjoyment. You know, although "I AM" known for the most part as a Disciplinarian, "I AM" also the fulfillment of Pure Divine Love, and in that Quality I enfold each of you, anticipating your visits to our Retreat at Luxor, and offering you the assistance of every Member of our Brotherhood to help you along the Path to the Goal set for all life - the ultimate of Earth's experience - THE ASCENSION IN THE LIGHT!
