Assimilation and  Expansion

of the Electronic Pattern,

Gazing across the eastern sky toward the everlasting sunrise of brilliant luminosity radiating forth its divine gifts and blessings into the sacred hearts of all people everywhere we experience the resurrecting and bringing forth of harmony and unity within and to all life on Earth.

Breathing Statement *for the Assimilation and  Expansion

of the Electronic Pattern

(Breathe in)                    I AM inbreathing

(Hold breath in)              I AM absorbing

(Breathe out)                  I AM expanding

(Hold breath out)            I AM projecting

...the ebb and flow of this divine tranquility and compassion in all life! (3x)

* The breathing statement should be given four times for each full breath. On the inbreath, breath in the qualities contained within the Flame. As you hold your breath in, absorb the qualities deep within every part of your being. As you breathe out, expand and increase the power and momentum of the divine qualities you are calling forth through the power of the Holy Breath. As you hold your breath out of your body, project these magnificent God Qualities forth to all life. Repeat this exercise a minimum of three full breaths.

“It is God who has made the night for you, that you may rest therein, and the day, as that which helps you to see. Verily God is full of grace and bounty to all, yet most give no thanks.

It is God who has made for you the earth as a resting place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape – and made your shapes beautiful – and has provided for you sustenance of things pure and good; such is God, your God. So glory to God, the God of the Worlds.”

The Path - Tao

“It is the mother of the Universe. I do not know its name so I call it Tao.”

“The Tao that can be spoken of is not the Tao.”

“Those who know don’t say, those who say don’t know.”

One element of the Tao that is very meaningful is of flowing with the power and order of nature. The Tao, the path, flows effortlessly and generously when we allow ourselves to join with that instinctive flow. We can live our lives with more grace and openness rather than with struggle. Through the practice of wu wei, which is the simultaneous practice of absolute action and absolute relaxation at the same time, we can become like the free flowing water with flows through and around and over all obstacles. Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water. Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible nothing can surpass it. The soft overcomes the hard; the gentle overcomes the rigid.

Humans can practice these two seemingly contradictory qualities of wu wei if they permit the power and freedom of the natural flow of the universe to run through them, and gain peaceful calm and limitless power at the same time.

One needs to feel and live it rather than trying to study or explain it. This practice becomes like trying to describe a dance in words rather than experiencing the movements; it just loses something in the rendition.

This is best explained by the Tao Te Ching: “Fully embrace your life and you will share in the glory of creation. The Mother herself will be your guardian, and all her creation will be your guide.”

Dawn of a New Day

It is nearly morning. You quietly rise and quickly dress so that you have time to walk down to the ocean and view the rising sun. The air is cool and very still. The pre-dawn sky is deep blue, appearing as a comforting velvet blanket stretching out from horizon to horizon. Sounds of the surf greet your ears with its natural rhythm flowing in toward the shore, breaking on the beach, and receding back into the great ocean of the world. Except for the sounds of the surf there is almost total silence around you. You take a few moments and consciously don your mantle of light protection. Then, calling upon the Violet Fire of Freedom's Love, you fill your mystic mantle with its purifying, transmuting power and drink deeply of its essence.

Ever so slowly, a faint glimmer of violet light appears along the Eastern edges of the skyline. With this subtle change in the atmosphere you begin to hear the soft sounds of sea birds calling out their morning song announcing the arrival of the dawn. The tide has now receded to its lowest point of the day, leaving the usual collection of shells, star fish, sea urchins and other magnificent gifts from the sea along the shoreline. Within the perfection of this moment, you feel your oneness with all life. As you walk along the beach you encounter no other soul during this early morning meditation.

The boisterous sounds of a small group of seagulls arouse your curiosity and your attention quickly turns to the sky once again. A soft light begins to appear just above the violet blue horizon gently spreading outward, filling the sky with its beautiful radiant light and you can now discern the various shapes of countless numbers of birds filling the new morning sky. Everything around you has now taken on a glowing radiance and you can easily make out the familiar forms of many dolphins celebrating the beginning of a glorious new day, joyfully leaping, diving and engaging happily with one another. A soft breeze begins to blow, gently caressing your face, bringing to you the clean, clear scent of the sea and the freedom it represents. The elements of air and water now merge, stirring up the salty sea spray and you are bathed in their revitalizing essence.

Each day Dawn brings such newness to life, a renewal of spirit and great delight for being alive.  Just as each and every day, her task is nearly complete - she races her chariot across the Eastern sky closely followed by many angelic and elemental beings of the earth, sea and sky. However, this morning there seems to be something new enveloped in the pink pre-dawn light. It appears to be a figure - soft and feminine in form. Your mind tells you, "No!" but your eyes and heart say, "Yes, look and see!" This beautiful and gentle form becomes clearer to your vision with each passing moment and you observe as she now appears to lovingly touch the sea and kiss the sky at the same time. As she approaches the shoreline, your heart skips a beat as you try to anticipate her every movement. You look up as she smiles in happy recognition, her aura expands outward. Not only does she touch the sand and sea around you, but your heart, your mind, and your entire being as well.

Filled with a love so overpowering it is difficult to bear, you realize you stand within the magnificent presence of beloved Kwan Yin. You now feel as if you are being lifted up by this great being of light to be nurtured, caressed, and comforted by her all-encompassing love; not only for you but for all the children of Earth. Just as the sun begins to rise above the horizon, you feel a gentle caress on your forehead - a kiss that offers you peace, contentment, joy, kindliness, patience, goodness, gentleness, self-control and total well being - all the fruits of the Spirit of which you have heard, read, and been taught about for so long. Your breath comes quickly now, as you realize what has taken place. You have gently touched the hem of the garment of this magnificent being of Light. In her great love for all life, she has stretched forth her hand touching you too, in response to your calls, and you know your life will never be the same.

You now bear in mind having come down to the sea at evening tide the night before, bringing a canister filled with a list of all the burdens and painful memories that you have been carrying in your heart - all of the hurts, all of the cares, and all of the concerns of an embodied being. You painstakingly took time to write each and every one of them down. Then you offered them to the element of fire whose flames were quickly fanned by the sylphs of the air. Once this task was completed you poured the ashes upon the outgoing tide, to be received and released forever by the undines of the water.

Now, one of the great Beings of Light has personally come to bring you comfort and heal your pain. Unable to move, you bathe in her healing radiation receiving all that you need to continue your service of love and light to this planet. All your cares and worries slowly fade away and as the rays of the sun gently touch your face you feel a peace and happiness unlike anything you have ever known.

The sounds of other people approaching the shore causes your consciousness to shift and you return your attention to the beach. As you walk across the sand you are ready to face the coming days, and a song of praise and gratitude rises up from your heart and fills you with joy.

Spiritual Yogas

According to Hindu philosophy, there are four spiritual disciplines or yogas that if practiced as a way of life will lead to spiritual wisdom, self-realization, and union with the Divine. These yogic paths are: Bhakti, Raja, Jyana, and Karma and they respectively focus on devotion, introspection, knowledge, and action. Let us focus on the path of karma yoga or action as a spiritual discipline.

According to the Bhagavad-Gita action or karma is distinguished from karma yoga or action as a spiritual discipline. Day to day, most of us are engaged in karma not karma yoga. Karma refers to the underlying law of cause and effect that permeates all of existence. It is karma that occupies and exhausts us, binds us to the physical world, and ultimately leads to suffering and unhappiness.

So then the question remains, how should we act? Or more importantly, should we act at all? For most of us, action is not only recommended but it is essential to our survival. Each of us must play our part and act out our role in the grand scheme of things. This is in accordance with the law of dharma or duty.

If we must engage in action, then what exactly constitutes karma yoga? Karma yoga is when our daily actions are performed within a spiritual framework based on the following three principles. First, our actions must not be driven by our ego or selfish desires. We must be motivated by our regard and concern for the welfare of all beings. Second, we should not be attached to the actions themselves. All actions whether they are pleasant or unpleasant must be performed with an evenness of mind. And finally, we must not be attached to the fruits or outcomes of our actions as we have no control over the law of cause and effect. Instead, we should perform our duties with love, care, and presence of mind and body. It is important to remind ourselves that we are merely the instruments of the Divine. It is the Divine who is the real Doer.

When actions are performed within this framework, they are transformed into divine service. When we offer and dedicate our lives to this type of service we are performing karma yoga. If this is the path you choose to follow you would wake up each morning and take a vow that was taught by many spiritual teachers, “The highest form of worship to God is service to others.”

Decrees as a Method of Invocation – Part II

(Continued from September 2006)

The importance of giving audible decrees lies in the fact that one’s thoughts and feelings sent forth through the spoken word work like a battering ram against a locked door to break up the unconstructive substance, vibration and consciousness that the decree was originally directed toward.

When one chooses to verbally decree, individually or in a group, the first endeavor should be to center the consciousness of all individuals participating within the Heart of the Sacred Fire. From this holy point the invocative powers are most effective. Two examples of how to enter this sacred place are:

I now consciously enter into and abide within the Heart of the Sacred Fire which is the True Center of my Being.

I AM the Divine Image of God manifesting perfection in my being and world….Wherever I AM my very Presence in the Universe is a constant outpouring and release of God Life and Light….

Additionally, short, clear and concise statements are preferable because it is easier for each member of the group to all be coming from the same place with little or no doubt and confusion to cloud the activity called forth by the decree.  Thus, with the command and authority of the Presence of God within the Heart of the Sacred Fire, it is easier to utilize the power in one good, rhythmic decree, allowing the momentum to build. . . .

In the Name of the Presence of God which I AM…

Through the Magnetic Power of the Sacred Fire vested in me, I command . . . . etc.

When giving decrees always remember to use positive or constructive thought patterns rather than negative or destructive ones because whatever is called forth will be clothed in that energy, adding to the forces unleashed. A perfect example of this is to use:

The Light of God is eternally victorious!  instead of The Light of God never fails!

The volume of the voice is not as important as the unity of the verbal energy released. An audible decree is much more effective when given in a strong, rhythmic, steady tone instead of  given loudly, in short bursts, creating very little power and energy. Suffice it to say rhythm, one-pointedness, timing and clarity in visualizing the activity requested are requisites to the divine accomplishment of invocation.

As there is no limit to the Powers of the Divine Energy that can be called forth, and no limit to the transmuting power of Divine Love, you have everything at hand by which to draw forth protect and sustain your Divine Endeavors!
